Lets start over

Ok lets be honest, i have been very lazy with this blog of mine. I think i need to put more effort in here....ok so now im in 3rd year now and am going to be interning at a company for three months this year...im so excited. We also received a new brief from college and we have to redesign wakkaberry in durban, they will use one of our designs and apply the design to all theirs stores (how awesome is that). Im also going to be helping the IID at the ICC this next week. Well thats all thats happened recently so lets see how long I can go with this blog again.

Community project

Next week our class will be commencing our community project where we raise money for a charity and then we redesign their interior. We have chosen the Jes Foord foundation, we will be heading to one of their community counselling centers and will be refurbishing two of their parkhome.

So far we have raise roughly R15000 and we are getting alot of the furniture donated, pictures of the process will follow soon. So watch the next couple of blogs.

A futuristic music store

Our new project that I just finished was a music store and i could not wait to get started. My initial idea was to do a futuristic theme and i chose to use a circuit board as another theme i would carry through. i wanted an area that people would enjoy to be in so i designed some furniture like the Cd dislplays that would open automaticly when you walked past them, another was my magneticly floating bar stool around my systems bar. work in progress

we got given a new project, we have to design the interior of a house and here are two perspective that i have done on sketch up......i must say sketch up is getting easier each time i use it.

the perspective are on the lounge and the dining room....in both i have designed some of the furniture like the tv unit and the dining room table and chairs. hope you find them inspiring.

A project from last year

Here are some of the boards from a project I did last year, we had to make a garage suitable for human living.

I decided to go for an open plan house with a modern feel to it and I also put an atrium in.

The 1st board is the concept and client profile all in 1.

A new chapter

Well today I have embarked on a new journey of blogging....let me start by telling a little about what is in store...I will be displaying most of my work from college here and also any pictures I find interesting.....so watch this space.
